Quick Start Guide

SSH Connections

To create a new SSH connection, tap the "Add Configuration" button on the main screen.

On this connection setup screen all that is needed is that one give the connection a name and a host (IP or domain name).

If the SSH port is not the default port 22, specify it here as well. If you want a particular login to be used consistently with this connection, enter it in the "login" setting.

The command setting is used to execute a system command on connect. This can be used to simulate continuous connections using GNU screen.

If you have a configured RSA or DSA key, you can enable it here.

If you want to store a password used for this connection, enter it in the password field.

The buttons to transfer public keys allow for automatic storage of the iPhone's generated public key to the server in question.

For this to work, one must enter (at least once) a login and password for this host.

For an SSH connection, leave "SSH" selected. If you only need a telnet or raw connection, select them here. Several options, such as the login, key usage and password do not apply to telnet and raw connections.

For a console, leave "Shell" chosen.

The available terminal settings allow for tweaking how the console responds to input.

Finally, on connection, tapping the "X" will not close the connection. It will take you to the Active Connections view and by tapping on the connection, you can come back to that console, or by swiping your finger, you can tap "Delete" and forcibly disconnect.
